If My body Were a Car...

If my body were a car....

...this is the time I would be thinking about trading it in for a newer model.

I've got bumps and dents and scratches in my finish...
....and my paint job is getting a little dull...

....but that's not the worst of it.....

My headlights are out of focus and it's especially hard to see things up close.

My traction is not as graceful as it once was.

I slip and slide and skid and bump into things even in the best of weather.

My whitewalls are stained with varicose veins.

It takes me hours to reach my maximum speed.

My fuel rate burns inefficiently..!
But here's the worst of it.....
Almost every time I sneeze, cough or sputter.....either my radiator leaks ......

.....or my exhaust backfires!

...if my body were a car..   Now.. do you feel me....

We finished slightly early on the third day of meeting, so I decided to go for sight-seeing and 'Tea' at the Empire Place. Unfortunately, the palace was closed to public due to the country's National Day (3 Dec)...*sigh*.. But we managed to do a little bit of Pistachios shopping though.

The Long Silence (sort of...)

Sorry it's been a while since I've posted here.

I realize it's been nearly three weeks since I last managed to post.

As the year has wound down, I find that the demands placed on my time and energy only increase. It's hard to believe that the office workload for 2010 is nearly, I repeat-nearly, complete: Last meeting for this year ended today, and I only have one more week next week .... and then.... going off for long holiday. Holiday????..No, I don't think so. I still have got orders to fulfill, baking classes to give, not forgetting preparation for the 'back-t0-school' thingy..

It's been a wild ride for this year. I cannot but be grateful that I have woken up each morning excited and I've gone to bed each night very tired.

If there's any regret that I have, it's that I've not gotten to be in Germany for my baby brother's Viva....I simply couldn't get go to Germany due to work load... I know he will understand...

...to my twin baby brother, Safial Aqbar @ AA, or better known as 'Sam' back in Germany... CONGRATULATIONS.. for being conferred the title 'Dr' .

Well Done baby brother..!
