Crocodile Cupcakes

Ok, today lets learn a little bit about animal kingdom... CROCODILE..

(above photo is an American Crocodile..)

Crocodile is a family of reptile..

The scientific name of the family is CROCODYLIDAE.

The true crocodiles are of the genus Crocodylus which includes a dozen or so species.

Some well known species are:-
American Crocodile - Crocodylus Acutus
Nile Crocodile - Crocodylys Niloticus
Orinoco Crocodile - Crocodylus Intermedius
Salt-Water Crocodile - Crocodile Porosus

Below you will find a very 'rare spiecies' of crocodile which can only be found...
in "My Little Cupcakes.." kitchen..

Oooops.... wrong picture...!

ok.. thats the one...!
I thought of making a 'crocodile shaped' cake but I knew that it wouldn't be near large enough to feed the crowd at our huge family gathering. We decided to have a crocodile theme. So, I came out with these crocodile cupcakes which in hindsight was a great idea so we didn't have to fuss with forks and plates, etc...

English Themed Hantaran

One of my repeat customers asked for an English themed Hantaran for her niece.

I've been extremely busy trying to 'pump out' the fondant flowers the last couple of days....

The above piece is my spin on the English themed colors -peach, burgundy and pink...my creations that come from my heart and soul and countless hours making flowers with my two little hands. I love the simplicity of the colors.
I think they go together perfectly.

It came out pretty much like what I had envisioned in my head.

I LOVE this one...

That's what I feel when I see this piece. It makes me smile...

English garden theme which symbolize "Overcoming challenges through unconditional love".

Blooming... blossoms... romance....
.....put them together & this piece will be a perfect complement to such memorable event.

Thanks Syikin for the order.

Lets join Izyan Izzaty's 'photo contest'...

Red Velvet Cupcakes

The RED VELVET Cupcakes...
I never had, tasted, and made this before.
I heard so much good thing about it.
It seems people in Europe can’t resist the Red Velvet cupcakes..!
Cupcakes are one of the most satisfying things to bake at home. Many of those beautifully manicured creations in the shops are triumphs of sugarcraft but uninspiring to eat, with bland sponge bases. I decided to try baking this infamous cupcakes myself yesterday.
It turned out surprisingly good..!
These are the Dolly Parton of cupcakes, artificially coloured, unashamedly vulgar and absolutely irresistible. I think it's the tinted deep red colour with a hint of chocolate topped white cream cheese frosting ...sprinkled with crushed hazel nuts... makes it so unique and so...irresistable...!
My favourite?
For now... it has to be the RED VELVET...
(...since I discovered how to bake them yesterday...! .. clap... clap.. clap...)
Specially made for my baby brother who just got back from Germany...
(terbalik pulak, dia ber-holiday kat Malaysia... hmmm..)

The red velvet cake would be devoured here!!
